AMI Enterprise Discovery for Domino (AMI for Domino) is the version of AMI Enterprise Discovery optimised for the Lotus environment. The product consists of applications providing federated search, indexing and analysis.
AMI for Domino allows the user to address search requests to Search Engines, the Internet, an Intranet, or third party database. Requests can be multi-criteria, via a customisable interface. Metadata is taken into account and defined at the time of indexing.
The support for Lotus Domino and Lotus QuickPlace is carried out by means of dedicated libraries installed on the Domino or QuickPlace server.

This configuration makes it possible for the user to Search for documents not only within their Notes or QuickPlace environment but also across additional non-Domino sources simultaneously. The process respects the rights of access to documents. A configuration not using a Lotus client can also be implemented. In this case search is performed with a navigator connected to AMI for Domino.
